AirAsia X unveils £99 flights from London to Malaysia

MANILA, Philippines - AirAsia X, the low-haul affiliate of AirAsia, has unveiled its low-cost £99 flights from London to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. In a statement, AirAsia X said it opened Tuesday booking for its five-times-a-week direct flights between London Stansted and Kuala Lumpur International Airport’s Low Cost Carrier Terminal. AirAsia X said the low-cost flights is expected to make trips between Europe and Asia more accessible and affordable, noting that air travel from London to Malaysia typically costs between £500 and £600. The airline said its £99 flights will be serviced by an airbus a340 aircraft with a 286 passenger capacity including 30 premium XL seats. AirAsia X Chief Executive Officer, Azran Osman-Rani said that the London route a significant achievement for the airlines allowing to transport passengers between from Europe and ASEAN, at a very affordable price. They are looking into further expansion including five flights per week to a daily service in the near future. AirAsia management also offers 'On Time Guarantee' and the recent 'No fuel Surcharge' intiative to further improve the AirAsia experience. Osman-Rani also promised that there would be more promotions and added that they would always look into making the fares as low as possible. For his part, AirAsia Group CEO Tony Fernandes, the low-cost London-Kuala Lumpur route is a significant step in the airline's realization of its international aspirations and strengthens Kuala Lumpur as the regional aviation hub and gateway into the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Region.
