Singer Nicole Scherzinger turns heads with 2,000-LED dress

Talk about lighting up a room and making a grand entrance. Singer Nicole Scherzinger may have lighted up the house in more ways than one at a recent mobile network launch, wearing a dress with some 2,000 LEDs stitched to it.

 

Better yet, the dress worn by Scherzinger at the launch of new 4G mobile network EE even displayed tweets from fans in real time, tech site Mashable reported.

 

The Mashable report said the tweets flashed by the dress, created by Cute Circuit, were those with the hashtag #tweetthedress.

 

Hawaii-born Scherzinger is half-Filipino. Her father Alfonso Valiente is Filipino, according to a fan site devoted to her.

 

However, Scherzinger was not the first star to wear such a dress. Katy Perry and U2 had worn similar outfits, Mashable added.

 

Mashable said the French silk chiffon dress "electrified, changing colors and getting brighter as the evening went on."

 

The dress also had more than 500 Swarovski crystals, Mashable quoted a Daily Mail report as saying. –KG, GMA News
