Prima ballerina Lisa Macuja promotes ballet in Davao City

A group headed by prima ballerina Lisa Macuja-Elizalde performed in Davao City this weekend to promote classical ballet among Davaoeños, according to a report on "Balita Pilipinas Ngaon" Saturday.



Macuja-Elizalde led the group, Ballet Ballads, during its performance in a mall. She was accompanied by her daughter Missy Macuja Elizalde, who is also a dancer.

The group's aim is to promote classical ballet. The mother-daughter duo also advised aspiring ballerinas that dedication and commitment are necessary if they want to hone their dance skills. — Rouchelle R. Dinglasan/BM, GMA News
