Google doodle takes break from FIFA for Father’s Day

Google on Sunday joined the world in paying tribute to dads by posting a doodle celebrating Father's Day.

Visitors to Google's homepage (www.google.com) were greeted with a doodle of a father having a good time with his sons on what appeared to be a make-believe plane.

Clicking on the doodle would take the visitor to a Google Search Results page for Father's Day 2014, with 50 "funny and inspiring quotes about dads."

Father's Day honors fathers and fatherhood, and is usually celebrated on the third Sunday of June.

Google has marked past Father's Days with doodles honoring fathers.
