Wallet- and eco-friendly Christmas decorations attracting buyers

With Christmas fast approaching, these wallet- and eco-friendly Christmas decor items are attracting buyers in Ilocos Sur province.

 

One decoration maker went to Bantay town in Ilocos Sur all the way from Bulacan to sell his wares made out of recyclable materials, GMA Ilocos reported.

 

"Eco-friendly talaga ito. Yung mga diyaryo na nakatambak pwede nating gawin ganyan," Edmar Francisco said.

 

The report said other decors include parols (Christmas lanterns) that can be bought for P1,000 to P5,000 and small Santa Claus figures costing P250 to P350.

 

Vendors of the new parols said they use LEDs to save on energy costs.

 

"Matipid sa kuryente, mas matibay at mas safe yung wiring niya," said vendor Mark Albana. — Joel Locsin/VC, GMA News
