Blind masseuses go a-caroling after dawn masses in CDO

For the next few days until Christmas, a group of 23 blind masseuses will be a-caroling in churches in Cagayan de Oro City to sing for their livelihood.

The Northern Mindanao Holistic Therapeutic Blind Service Cooperative hope to earn enough to lease a spot in a mall, GMA Northern Mindanao's Joane Tabique reported.

"Nanawagan kami kung sino man ang makakita nitong interview o makarinig nito na kung meron silang maitutulong sa aming cooperative, tulungan sana nila kami para ma-raise namin ang aming kinakailangang amount," said Allan Benayon, a member of the group.

With the proceeds from their caroling, the group seeks to establish a massage center at a local mall.

The massage center is being eyed as a source of stable livelihood for them for the rest of the year. — Joel Locsin/VC, GMA News
