Was Pia Wurtzbach's opening dress sabotaged at Binibining Pilipinas?

Pia Wurtzbach took home the biggest crown at the Binibining Pilipinas 2015 Grand Coronation Night on Sunday.

But even the new Binibining Pilipinas-Universe had to contend with some backstage drama before heading out to the big stage.

French fashion expert and beauty producer Ines Ligron shared a story that had people wondering if there was an effort to sabotage Wurtzbach.

"Backstage drama: Pia's opening dress disappeared just before the show started and was found at the last minute... but it was dirty," wrote Ligron in a Facebook post.

Ligron, a pageant insider who used to run the Miss Universe competition in Japan, had earlier picked Wurtzbach, Janicel Lubina, and Christi McGarry as her favorites.

All three ended up being top winners, with Lubina bagging the Binibining Pilipinas-International crown and McGarry winning Binibining Pilipinas-Intercontinental. —JST, GMA News
