PHL sets more world records for gargling, pizza-eating
The Philippines on Sunday set at least two more world records, for the most number of people gargling in a single venue, and for the shortest time in consuming a 12-inch pizza.
Guinness World Records certificates were handed to organizers and participants for the most number of people gargling mouthwash simultaneously.
Photos on the Facebook page of the MakeHistoryPH community showed the certificates given to the participants.
The community said 2,040 people took part in the record bid.
The GWR website said the previous record was 1,974 people on December 12, 2013, by Dr. Mario Lemay and Team (Canada) at the North Bay Memorial Gardens in North Bay, Ontario, Canada.
It said the record attempt took place during the first intermission of a North Bay Battalion ice hockey game.
MakeHistoryPH also claimed a second record was set—for the shortest time in wolfing down a 12-inch pizza, at 23 seconds.
It said the previous record was 41 seconds.
Earlier, the Philippines set new records for:
- the largest reunion of people born at the same hospital
- the most people in a motorcycle burnout stunt in Tagaytay City.
- largest parade of motorcycles with sidecars in Cauayan City in Isabela.
