PHLPost said this is in line with the Philippines' participation to the "Taipei 2015 - the 30th Asian International Stamp Exhibition" in Taiwan April 24 to 28.
The special souvenir sheet stamps feature "typical Filipino folk literature or stories associated mostly in rural parts of the country," PHLPost said.
It said the souvenir sheet stamps, laid out by PHLPost artist Rodine Teodoro, will be sold at P150 each in sheet, and only 5,000 90 mm x 90 mm pieces were printed by Amstar Co. Inc.
Meanwhile, PHLPost said the Taiwan exhibition offered an "exciting venue for stamp collectors to promote stamp collecting, exchange ideas between postal administrations worldwide and learn from each other on how to expand their philately boundaries."
It said the exhibition was co-hosted by Chunghwa Post under the patronage of the Federation of Inter-Asia Philately (FIAP). — Joel Locsin/BM, GMA News
