GUESS: Which Philippine product is Maria Ozawa’s beauty secret?

Even up close, Maria Ozawa has flawless skin—and her beauty secret actually comes from the Philippines.

What is it?

"Coconut oil. I love coconut oil here in the Philippines. I will buy lots of it from here and bring it back to Japan, and scrub it all over me," the Japanese film actress and former adult video star told reporters on Tuesday.

Coconut oil has become a popular beauty product here and abroad, both as a food supplement and as a skin and hair moisturizer.

Chicken adobo

Another important element in Maria's beauty regimen is exercise—which means she has no qualms eating something as oily and calorie-laden as chicken adobo, her favorite Pinoy meal.

"I could eat that every day. The last time I was here in the Philippines, I ate it in the morning, in the afternoon, and in the evening," she said enthusiastically.

The actress is also not shy about professing her love and admiration for the Philippines.

"I love the food and the people," she said. "It's so different from Japan. They are all smiling and nice and loving. I also love the weather. It's so cool in Japan.

"The longer I stay here, the more I love it. Everything's perfect. When I heard that I would be doing a movie here, I thought, 'Maybe I should buy a condo.' I could literally live here. The Philippines is what I found most relaxing. I just like everything about it,” she added.

Ozawa is in the country to promote her upcoming film "Nilalang," a horror movie that will start filming in August and which will be entered in the Metro Manila Film Festival. Robin Padilla will also star. — BM, GMA News
