CPDRC opens ‘motel’ for married inmates

Now open: a so-called motel for married inmates of the Cebu Provincial Detention and Rehabilitation Center (CPDRC).

The facility is an area for conjugal visits that inmates need to pay a small fee to avail of, GMA Cebu's Alan Domingo reported Tuesday.

It has 18 rooms that can be used by the married inmates.

However, the CPDRC's management will require the inmates to present a marriage certificate before they can use the rooms.

The proceeds will go to the inmates' cooperative, which in turn will provide for the improvement of facilities at the CPDRC. — Joel Locsin/BM, GMA News
