Miss Germany posts apology to Pia Wurtzbach
The organization's Facebook page seems to have been taken down but a screen grab of the Facebook apology showed that Riek was being referred to in the third person.
The post reads that while Riek sympathizes with her friend Arevalo, she never meant to insult Wurtzbach.

The statement goes on to say that Riek is happy that a half-German girl took the crown home.
"Miss Universe-Germany Sarah-Lorraine feels sorry for her colleague and friend Miss Colombia. This must have been the worst nightmare. She never intended to offend Miss Philippines in any way. She feels sorry for both girls," the statement read.
"She is really sorry if the video suggests anything else than that," it added.
"Sarah-Lorraine is very happy a half-German girl brings the crown of course a bit to Germany as well!" the statement said.
The Facebook account is promoted on the official website of Miss Universe-Germany http://www.missuniversegermany.de/
A video of Miss Germany went viral after the controversial announcement of winners. The video caught Riek saying "no one voted for Philippines" and that she felt Miss Colombia Ariadna María Gutiérrez Arévalo deserved to win.
The video was picked up by international media, adding more controversy to coronation night.
Pia has yet to respond to the viral video. —Aya Tantiangco/NB/JST, GMA News
