Amid bashing after Miss Universe, Steve Harvey posts inspirational message

Steve Harvey's year could have ended with a simple selfie with the most beautiful woman in the world, but instead, he got more publicity than he bargained for while hosting the Miss Universe 2015 coronation night.

Harvey and his mistake in reading the results of the pageant are now in the pantheon of Internet fails immortalized in memes. Some responses are funny, some are understanding... and some are pretty scary — like threats of a lawsuit and a fine for the blunder.

In response to the storm of negativity coming his way, Harvey posted a short message, which suggested that he was letting a higher power decide what's best for him.

It was also announced on Wednesday that Harvey has been asked to return to the Miss Universe stage next year. The producers of the show said that they felt Harvey did a good job and that he deserved a shot at redemption. —Aya Tantiangco/JST, GMA News
