Miss Bulgaria surprised by spread of BFF moment with Pia Wurtzbach
Miss Bulgaria Radost Todorova took to social media to express her love for Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach and the Philippines, as well as surprise over her gesture during the coronation night becoming a widespread meme.
On her Instagram account, Radost — or Joy — reposted a meme that pegged her as "that one friend who pushes you to stand up for that dream" with the caption, "I ? you... Pia."

She then posted another version of the meme and said, "xOxO so sweet... it was a pleasure!"

The third photo she posted was a screenshot of her gesture towards Pia, with the caption, "xaxaxa it's all around the World."
Joy has been called the "pambansang bestie" (national best friend) after she cheered on Pia to go ahead to centerstage to claim the Miss Universe crown after a mix-up in the announcement of winners.
Over at Facebook, she also made a series of posts, the first of them saying, "I ? Philippines!!! Thank you for your kindness."
Sharing a photo posted by popular US-based Filipino fashion blogger Bryanboy, Joy wrote, "We are all around the World!!! I can't believe what's happening... Thank you, Philippines!"
Reposting from Pia's official Facebook page, she added, "We love you, Pia!!! Bulgaria supports you!"

She even went ahead and shared the video of her and Pia's moment in "even better quality."
Joy also sent a friend request to blogger Ron Cruz, who posted a collage of her moment with Pia with the caption, "Even if we already know what to do, we always look for that one friend who will push us to do it. We all need a #MissBulgaria in our lives."

As of Christmas afternoon, the said post on Facebook alone has been shared more than 2,600 times with at least 98,000 likes.
It has been reposted by sites such as 9gag.com and has inspired numerous memes, including one in reference to approaching a "ninong" (godfather) you do not recognize.
Ron accepted Joy's friend request and has been filling her in on how her moment and the memes have made waves on the news and social media.
