Pia Wurtzbach's arrival message at NAIA

Pia Wurtzbach said Saturday that she did not get any sleep due to her excitement over return to the Philippines a month after winning the Miss Universe 2015 crown.

Upon her arrival shortly before 6 a.m. at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport, Wurtzbach gave a brief statement to the media.

She said she was reserving her "kwento" about her experiences during the past few weeks after winning the crown, for her press conference on Sunday.

Wurtzbach, the Philippines' third Miss Universe, arrived on board Philippine Airlines flight 538 at the NAIA.

She was welcomed by officials of the Binibining Pilipinas Charities led by Stella Araneta.

From the airport, Wurtzbach was brought to the Araneta Center in Cubao, Quezon City.
