Neil Patrick Harris as Count Olaf from ‘A Series of Unfortunate Events’
Lemony Snicket's beloved children's book series “A Series of Unfortunate Events” will come to screens once again in the near future through the efforts of global Internet television network Netflix.
Netflix confirmed the news of the live-action series in 2014 and in March 2016, Deadline.com reported that Neil Patrick Harris was named as one of its leads. The “How I Met Your Mother” star will be breathing life to the sinister Count Olaf, the same character played by Hollywood actor Jim Carrey in the 2004 film.
On Tuesday (April 26), the Internet could not help but be more excited after photos of Neil Patrick as Count Olaf surfaced—complete with the unibrow, the menacing scowl, the gray goatee, and the oddly slicked-back hair.

Joining Neil Patrick in the new live-action adaptation of “A Series Of Unfortunate Events” are Malina Weissman as Violet Baudelaire, Louis Hynes as Klaus Baudelaire, and Patrick Warburton as the narrator Lemony Snicket.
The beloved story follows the tale of the Baudelaire siblings Violet, Klaus, and Sunny, who were orphaned and eventually entrusted to the villainous Count Olaf.
