Humans make contact, but struggle to communicate in ‘Arrival’ teaser trailer

Five time Academy Award nominee Amy Adams returns onscreen with a few more aliens, but this lot don't seem quite as super as Clark Kent.

In the new teaser trailer of new science fiction movie "Arrival", extraterrestrial beings try to make contact with earth—but language barriers (even just among humans) cause some trouble. 

Adams plays the role of linguist Louise Brooks, tasked to analyze and interpret the language of earth's visitors. Joining her are Jeremy Renner and Forest Whitaker. 

"Arrival" is directed by Denis Villeneuve, the man behind critically-acclaimed films "Sicario", "Enemy", and "Incendies." — AT, GMA News
