Nicole Cordoves back in PHL, 2 other Bb. Pilipinas queens leave for pageants

Miss Grand International Philippines 2016 Nicole Cordoves has returned home after representing the Philippines at the 4th edition of the pageant last month in Las Vegas.

Despite not winning the title, Nicole still did well at the pageant, placing second after Ariska Putri Pertiwi of Indonesia.

In a press conference in Novotel Manila in Araneta Center Cubao, Nicole said that she was not disappointed by the results.

"No, not at all! Can you imagine competing with 76 beautiful girls? There is not a thing on that stage that I regretted or would have made better," she said

"I respect the destiny of each girl on that stage," she added.

She said that she learned to make her weaknesses become her strengths and that she's thankful for having had "transcended" them.

Meanwhile, two more Binibining Pilipinas queens were officially sent off to conquer the international pageant arena.

Binibining Pilipinas Supranational 2016 Joanna Eden will be competing for in the 8th edition of Miss Supranational on December 2 in Poland.

While they admitted feeling the pressure due to the victory of Miss Grand International 1st Runner Up Nicole Cordoves and Miss International 2016 Kylie Versoza, they said they were looking forward to represent the country.

"Honestly yes, there's a pressure...but I always took it positively to motivate me to make sure I can bring another crown for our country," Nichole told GMA News.

Joanna added that they have both prepared as much as they can.

"I definitely feel like we all have prepared. This is what this year is about...there is pressure but it is more excitement," she said.

Stella Marquez Araneta, Binibining Pilipinas Charities, Inc. (BPCI) chairperson expressed her confidence that the beauty queens will do well in their respective pageants.

"This time we are expecting to have more crowns," she said. — Jessica Bartolome/BM, GMA News
