Auction on Sunday to benefit children’s home in Cavite

A children's foundation in Cavite will benefit from the proceeds of an auction of European art and other luxury items on Sunday.

Recently established auction house Casa de Memoria will hold its fourth auction on Sunday, and again it will benefit the Chosen Children Village Foundation.

The foundation, which was named the auction house's official charity partner this year, covers four hectares in Silang, Cavite and is currently home to 86 children. The property includes 11 cottages, a chapel, a school, and a physical therapy clinic. It was founded in 1989 by Maria Angeles “Lita” Peypoch Fullerton.

Since Casa de Memoria's first auction, five percent of its total sales have been going to the foundation, according to the auction house in a statement.

“For our fourth auction, we have a really well-curated selection of European fine art pieces that hold great historical value. From contemporary paintings to jewelry, religious sculptures, and Portuguese furniture, we’ve gathered an impressive collection of pieces that will not only look beautiful in people’s homes but will also be perfect holiday gifts,” said auction house owner Angelique Lhuillier Miranda in the statement. — BM, GMA News

Casa de Memoria is on the corner of Jupiter and Comet St. in Bel-Air, Makati City. The auction will be held on November 27 at 2 p.m. For more information, visit visit the Casa De Memoria website or its Facebook page.
