Miss International Kylie Verzosa’s homecoming parade in Baguio
After all her media appearances in Metro Manila in the last few weeks, Miss International 2016 Kylie Verzosa returned to Baguio City on Saturday for her homecoming parade.
Upon her arrival, Verzosa immediately went straight to her beauty queen duties: attending a tee-off ceremony at a golf course, meeting the city's mayor and congressman, hosting a charity dinner for UNICEF, and sharing her thoughts about her mental health awareness advocacy with students at Saint Louis University Baguio and at the University of the Cordilleras.
"The purpose of our lives is to add value to the people of this generation and those to follow," she wrote in an Instagram post.
Most of her events took place in Baguio Country Club, which is one of the city's most memorable places for the beauty queen.
"The Baguio Country Club has been my home away from home and my escape from reality back when i was living in Baguio. I've had a lot of childhood memories here and was also, the place I met my first crush," she said.
The queen was also welcomed with a colorful floral float customized just for her, with a Philippine flag made of white, yellow, red, and blue flowers on the side and a giant Miss International crown up front.
It was an eventful first few days for Kylie in Baguio! Check out what happened in the gallery below.
