Jaws dropped when the official ticket prices for the 65th Miss Universe coronation night was announced, but to ease the pain of potentially missing out, the Department of Tourism on Wednesday shared some good news for pageant fans.
In an inter-agency meeting, Tourism Undersecretary Kat De Castro said that they are expecting the National Costume show tickets to be considerably cheaper than the coronation night tickets.
"Rest assured that definitely the pageant fanatics will get their chance to buy the cheaper tickets for the National Costume show," De Castro told the press. "As of now, wala pa po tayong venue, because they're still fixing it, but they can get tickets for as low as P500 for the National Costume show."
She added, "That's what was promised to the Department of Tourism—that the (fans) can get it for as low as P500. So this is really meant for pageant fanatics, because as we all know, the national costume is one of the shows they really look forward to."

Steve Harvey will be returning as the main host for the show, while model Ashley Graham has been announced as the backstage host.
Rumors have been floated that a Filipina will co-host the show, but the DOT said that this has not been confirmed. Representatives from the Miss Universe Organization will be arriving this week to finalize details, including the list of performers.
