Maxine Medina’s ‘heart’ can clinch Miss Universe crown, pageant sisters say

It seems that Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach does not have a monopoly of being confidently beautiful with a heart.

On Tuesday, the country's representative for Miss Universe 2016 Maxine Medina received messages of support from her pageant sisters during her sendoff.

Her fellow beauty queens expressed their confidence that Maxine Medina could bring the crown home, because of the beauty of her heart.

"You are the perfect representative for Miss Universe Philippines, because you can show them what the heart of a Filipina really is." Miss Grand International 2016 1st runner-up Nicole Cordoves said. "It's so impossibly outstanding how you've turned into this queen, but still have an even more beautiful and humble heart."

"I know you can do this, because, for me, you are the brightest start in the universe," Binibining Pilipinas Suprenational 2016 Joanna Eden added. "You're the loveliest, sweetest person I've ever met. You're always there just checking up on everyone."

"I can't wait for another crown for the Philippines," Miss Intertional 2016 Kylie Verzosa said. "Iuwi mo na 'yung korona, please!"

Miss Globe 2016 3rd runner up Nichole Manalo seconded, "Naniniwala kami sa iyo. Huwag mo kalimutan na maniwala sa sarili mo."

Medina told the press that she is confident that she can bring the crown home again and that the Philippines will be seeing a back-to-back win.

The Miss Universe 2016 pageant will be held at the Mall of Asia Arena on January 30. —NB, GMA News
