Christmas is at the heart of Miss Finland's national costume

Miss Finland Shirly Karvinen is paying homage to one of the most famous Finnish landmarks, Santa Claus Village, for her national costume.

The half-Chinese beauty queen donned a festive red dress, spreading merriment in a photo shoot with Sara Tarnanen.

The costume is designed by Teuvo Loman and Karvinen says it's "the dress of her dreams."

The National Costume Show is scheduled to be held after the Preliminary Show on January 26. The 65th Miss Universe coronation night will be held on January 30 at the Mall of Asia Arena. — AT, GMA News
