Netizens get to be judges for Miss Universe 2016 through online voting
Fans of the Miss Universe pageant can vote for their favorite candidates starting Tuesday (January 24) to Saturday (January 28) and help them earn a spot in competition's Top 12.
Each person can vote up to 10 times per day per registered Twitter and Facebook accounts via vote.missuniverse.com. Fans can also cast their votes through the official Miss Universe app, the new mobile messaging app Vodi, or on Twitter by using #MissUniverse and the chosen candidate's specific hashtag as stated on the voting site.
Everyone who will tune in to the coronation event will also have an opportunity to continue voting during the telecast—each person gets another 10 votes for each round of the competition.
In this year's three-hour Miss Universe grand coronation event, the semi-finalists will be grouped into Top 12, 9, 6, and 3, giving viewers more time to learn about the candidates' accomplishments, interests, and objectives as Miss Universe.
After weeks of pre-pageant events around the Philippines, the prestigious international pageant will conclude with a Grand Coronation Night on January 30, 2017 at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.
