Nia Sanchez, Olivia Jordan, and Kary Ramos reveal their top Miss U picks
In just a few hours, the anticipated Miss Universe grand coronation event is happening and everyone has been cheering and supporting their bets since the preliminary round. Even former beauty queens are throwing in their predictions.
Miss USA 2014 Nia Sanchez, Miss USA 2015 Olivia Jordan, and Miss Costa Rica 2014 Kary Ramos were all jumping with excitement as they chatted about their favorite candidates from the 65th Miss Universe pageant.
Argentina, Aruba, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, France, Iceland, Indonesia, Jamaica, Kosovo, Netherlands, Nicaragua, Panama, Philippines, Thailand, USA, and Venezuela all made the list.
While the three girls had different opinions and bets, one of the 2016 candidates they all agreed on was Miss Philippines Maxine Medina, the beauty queens think that she is a good balance of everything, from sweet, sexy, fun and fierce.
"Obviously Maxine is gonna be on the Top 3," Jordan said.
Sanchez added, "She has the good balance, some girls I think are almost too fierce for me like all the way through and I want a variety and she's fierce and she's fun, she's playful and she represents some of the best fans in the world."
Jordan was also USA all the way (with a tiny flag!) and expressed her love for Deshauna Barber.
"I am so dedicated to Deshauna, she is amazing, her stage presence, it is obviously the reason she won Miss USA but it's phenomenal, she just turns it on, she works it, she's sexy, her national costume even though there was a malfunction thing, whatever, she killed it!", Jordan said.
Apart from Deshauna, Jordan also admires Miss Canada Siera Bearchell and her body positivity movement.
"I love Canada, I loved that she's doing this whole body positivity movement because, it's like yes, it's about time you don't have to have a size two figure to be on the Miss Universe stage, just own it, be you and she radiates confidence, we met her in person and just as much on stage and in person I just feel like she's a true power woman," Jordan said.
Although they disclosed their top bets and comments, they still made it clear that they think every girl in the pageant deserves to win.
"Don't forget girls, if we didn't mention you, we had so many girls on our list and honestly you guys probably killed it in the interview and we didn't get to see that side of you and we didn't get to know you, so like what do we know we're not judging so like. If we didn't mention you we still have love for you and we are so gonna support you if you win Miss Universe, love you all," Jordan said.
"Every single girl is already a winner, every girl is successful in their life individually, everyone deserves top 12 and I wish it was like a top 25 so that we could see more of the beauty across the universe," Sanchez said.
