Netflix's ‘Iron Fist’ trailer punches the internet in the face

Marvel has unveiled the official trailer for the Netflix superhero show, “Marvel’s Iron Fist.”

“Iron Fist” is the fourth Netflix original series centering on a Marvel superhero.

This time around, the hero in question is Iron Fist, a martial arts master with superhuman abilities. When Iron Fist isn’t running around breaking shinbones, he’s the young billionaire Danny Rand (Finn Jones)—who has been missing for 15 years and was presumed dead before his shocking return to New York.

Other “Marvel’s Iron Fist” characters include Colleen Wing (Jessica Henwick), Harold Meachum (David Wenham), Joy Meachum (Jessica Stroup), and Ward Meachum (Tom Pelphrey).

Carrie-Anne Moss, who appeared in “Marvel’s Jessica Jones” as the lawyer Jeri Hogarth, will be reprising her role in “Marvel’s Iron Fist,” as will Rosario Dawson, who plays the nurse Claire Temple in these Marvel/Netflix shows.

Iron Fist is the fourth and final Defender. He’ll be joining fellow heroes Daredevil, Jessica Jones, and Luke Cage in the fight against crime (and possibly worse) in New York.

The show will be followed by “The Defenders” and “The Punisher,” also set to air on Netflix in 2017. New seasons of “Daredevil,” “Jessica Jones,” and “Luke Cage” are planned, but details about them are scarce at the moment.

“Marvel’s Iron Fist” will consist of 13 episodes. The first will premiere on March 17, 2017.  — AT, GMA News
