Zazie Beetz was born in Germany to a German father and African-American mother. The 25-year-old doesn’t have an extensive filmography yet, but she’s a favorite on “Atlanta” — a TV series about the Atlanta rap scene — where she stars alongside Donald Glover, Brian Tyree Henry, and Keith Stanfield. She also appeared in 2015’s “Apple Sauce” and 2017’s “Finding Her.”
In the comics, the mutant Domino (real name Neena Thurman) can manipulate probability so that improbable phenomena occur in her favor, and to the detriment of her enemies. Simply put: she can give herself good luck, and her foes guys bad luck. As if that wasn’t unfair enough, Domino is also a deadly accurate marksman, an accomplished martial artist, an incredible athlete and acrobat, and an explosives expert.
That should make her just as deadly a mercenary as Deadpool.
Domino is best known as an X-Force member. She is depicted as having pale white skin, and with a large black patch around one eye.
Domino and Deadpool debuted at the same time, in New Mutants #98 (February 1991), where the former saved Cable from the latter.
But here’s where it gets confusing. The Domino in the aforementioned issue was not the real Domino, but a shapeshifting mutant named Copycat. The real Domino, Neena Thurman, would only be properly introduced a year later, in X-Force #8 (1992).
Cable is also going to be in “Deadpool 2.” In comic book lore, he is Cyclops’ son from the future, We don’t know if the movie will retain his backstory for simplicity’s sake; the first film did make one huge change to Vanessa (Morena Baccarin), so we’re not ruling that possibility out.
An actor has yet to be cast for the Cable role.
“John Wick” director David Leitch will be helming “Deadpool 2.” Returning as screenwriters are Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick. Reynolds is producing alongside Lauren Shuler Donner and Simon Kinberg.
Apparently, a third Deadpool film is already in the plans, and it will likely involve a complete X-Force team. — AT, GMA News
