‘Game of Thrones’ season 7 teaser released after July premiere announcement
Fans anxiously waiting for the release date of the next season of Game of Thrones can finally put their concerns to rest, as HBO has officially announced through an elaborate interactive fan event the official premiere date of Game of Thrones Season 7, and it will happen on the middle of July — true to the “Summer 2017” schedule the showrunners have announced to fans months ago.
During a Facebook Live Event held by the official Game of Thrones page that involved a huge block of ice and a set of flamethrowers melting it, fans were asked to reply with the work “FIRE” to help speed up the process. Eventually, the melted ice revealed the date as “7.16.17”, which translates to July 16 this year for the premiere date for Season 7.
Immediately following the announcement, HBO released a new teaser to promote the coming of Season 7
Those who aren’t up to speed with the events of Game of Thrones should know that the latest season will see the pieces set for the great war to come that will determine the fate of Westeros and the rest of the realms based on George R.R. Martin’s world as seen in his “A Song of Ice and Fire” series of novels.
The end of Season 6 saw Daenerys Targaryen and her army of ships and dragons sailing to Westeros, while Cersei Lannister took complete control of King’s Landing and crowned herself Queen of the Seven Kingdoms following her own son’s death. Meanwhile Jon Snow has been proclaimed “King of the North” by the northeners, and is adamant to unite the living and prepare for the coming war against the “White Walkers” and the dead coming from the other side of the wall.
