Mariel De Leon's photo with Kylie Verzosa's painting proves prophetic

On Sunday night, Miss International 2016 Kylie Verzosa relinquished her Binibining Pilipinas International crown to Maria Angelica "Mariel" De Leon—which made a photo taken earlier in March seem prophetic.

De Leon during a visit to The Gateway Gallery posed next to a portrait of Verzosa. She captioned the photo with a simple, "Queen Kylie."

Mariel is the daughter of veteran actors Christopher De Leon and Sandy Andolong.

She previously joined the pageant in 2013 and placed in the Top 15.

She will now be representing the country in the next Miss International pageant in Japan.

Will Verzosa crown her there, too?
