5 medical students trigger near-death experiences in 'Flatliners' sequel

Columbia Pictures has released the first trailer of its latest thriller, Flatliners, a sequel to the 1990 movie of the same title.

Five medical students embark on a dangerous experiment of documenting afterlife experiences.

Just like in the 1990 movie, the students trigger near-death experiences by stopping their hearts, ideally for a minute.

After the near-death experiences, the students develop certain skills, but begin to have paranormal experiences.

Kieffer Sutherland, who played as Nelson Wright in the 1990 movie, reprises his role in the sequel. —ALG, GMA News
