Former Binibini is first Miss Nature Intercontinental

A Filipino won the first-ever Miss Nature Intercontinental beauty pageant. Former Binibini candidate Sarah Cristine Bona took home the crown during the pageant’s coronation night in Poland.

The pageant, which puts environmental issues to the front, had candidates “talk about environmental issues that exist in their countries.”

In the Q&A, Bona pointed the spotlight to humans as the biggest environmental problem. “But we can also be its savior,” she said.

Bona hails from Camarines Sur. She is a licensed midwife, a registered nurse, and a certified caregiver. She joined Binibining Pilipinas in 2016 as candidate number 34.
