Miss Universe 2017 Demi-Leigh plans on using crown to help end gender-based violence
South African beauty Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters wowed the judges and the crowd not just with her looks, but also with her strong will.
Many credit her inspiring story of fighting assailants who held her at gunpoint as her winning factor and as Miss Universe 2017, Demi plans on encouraging more women to learn how to fight back.

During a press conference at Dusit Thani as part of her visit in the Philippines, Demi asserted that gender-based violence and sexual harassment are global issues.
“We need to speak up about that,” she declared.
More than talk, Demi plans on using the Miss Universe platform to expand her #unbreakable campaign where women undergo training to acquire skills that might save their lives one day. — LA, GMA News
