Unique Salonga won't reveal reason for his IV of Spades exit: ‘Manigas kayo’

Unique Salonga, former lead vocalist of IV of Spades, has finally released a statement regarding his own retreat on Tuesday evening.

On his Twitter account, he posted two photos of his letter to fans who have been left to wonder why he decided to exit the band.

Although he saw the disappointment and sadness his departure brought to them, he refused to reveal the reason why he left.

While he kept mum about the reason of his exit, he gave a hint, he said it's true that he is covering something up, but maintained his lips sealed as he went on with his statement, he thanked his fans, the rest of the band —  Zildjian Benitez, Blaster Silonga, and Badjao de Castro — and their parents.

His statement further read:

Siguro nga malaki talaga, kaya sobrang thank you po talaga kung ano man 'yon. Thank you!

He ended his note by saying his gratitude one last time and said he would still see everyone on the next "episode" of his life.

The three remaining members of IV of Spades Zildjian, Blaster and Badjao announced Unique's exit on May 4, Friday.

The band's most popular singles "Mundo," "Hey Barbara," and "Where Have You Been, My Disco?" have been received well. Their '70s-inspired sound has earned them a nod from the MYX Music Awards and a win at the 30th Awit Awards as Favourite New Group. — AT, GMA News
