Jessica Soho, Nora Aunor among personalities named as History Makers
Kapuso news anchor Jessica Soho and Kapuso superstar Nora Aunor were among the personalities honored with a History Maker Award on Saturday at the World Trade Center.
The awarding ceremony, the second of its kind, was held at the second day of this year’s History Convention.
Neither personalities were able to attend the event to accept the award, but Soho sent a video message that was played for the audience.
“It is a privilege to have been given a front seat to history, to watch it unfold and to tell the story of our people and our country,” she said.

Kapuso star Mikee Quintos accepted the award in behalf of Aunor.
The two actresses star together in the new GMA drama "Onanay".
Also recognized for their contributions to Filipino history and culture were Broadway star Lea Salonga, actress and former politician Vilma Santos-Recto, the Philippine Azkals football team , and marathoner and businessman Victor Consuji.
Actors Christopher de Leon, Albert Martinez, Sharon Cuneta, and Aga Mulach were also named History Makers. — DVM, GMA News
