Bangs Garcia to represent the PHL in ‘Maxim Cover Girl’ search

Valerie "Bangs" Garcia announced on Instagram Monday that she will be representing the Philippines — and moms! — in this year's Maxim Cover Girl search.

"I gladly accepted the invitation of @maximmag to participate in this year’s Maxim Cover Girl Search," Bangs revealed. "I am proudly representing my country, the Philippines, the petite women and most especially all the mothers around the world! "

If she gets voted as the cover girl, Valerie said she will use it as a platform to inspire moms to stay healthy.

"If I get voted as Maxim’s Cover Girl 2018 and earn worldwide recognition as their new face, I would definitely utilize this opportunity to encourage all mothers to stay healthy & fabulous despite all the challenges we’ve been through, going through, and about to go through. No matter what age and body frame you’ve got, there’s no reason for you not to take care of yourself. You’ve got this!"
