How to make pumpkin sculptures for Halloween

In an episode of Unang Hirit on Wednesday, Chef William Anislag gave out tips on how to choose the right pumpkin to carve.

"Ang magandang kalabasa na puwedeng i-carve 'yong medyo smooth, ang hindi siya advisable 'yong ganitong malubak," Chef William said.

He added that the pumpkin you should buy is something hard, "'Yong malambot usually pabulok na. Kailangan medyo matigas siya, malalaman mo naman kung hinawakan mo."

For Chef William who is an expert in carving, he said it takes him about, "15-30 mins, depende sa design."

To make your pumpkin art last longer, Chef William said it should be wrapped in a cling wrap and put inside a chiller, which can last from 3-5 days, depending on the handling.
