Catriona Gray captivates crowd in Miss Universe prelims

To no one's surprise, Miss Universe Philippines Catriona Gray was a headturner during the Miss Universe preliminary competition held in Thailand on Thursday.

Catriona drew cheers as she strutted down the runway in a pink bikini during the swimsuit competition.

She also wowed the crowd when she showed off her glittery orange evening gown in the latter part of the show.

Catriona is one of 94 candidates competing for the Miss Universe crown.

The 24-year-old recently earned praise from Filipinos for her national costume, which featured a giant parol that represented the cultural diversity of the Philippines.

She also wore a body suit that showed the tattoos worn by Visayan warriors and she drew from the Inaul, Yakan, Maranao, B'laan, Bagobo, Tausug and T'nalak for her accessories.

The 67th Miss Universe Coronation Night will be held on December 17 in Thailand. — BM, GMA News
