Catriona Gray interviewed by ET Thailand, gets cute nickname from Thai fans

The host country of the 67th Miss Universe pageant has welcomed Catriona Gray with arms wide open. 

From the moment she landed to Thursday's preliminary competition, the Filipino-Australian beauty queen has enjoyed an incredible amount of support from Thai fans.

She has been featured numerous times by Vogue Thailand and on Friday, ET Thailand also released their interview with her. 

Catriona learned that the Thai fans loved her so much, they gave her a nickname. They affectionately call her the Thai word for kitten, "luk maew."

The beauty queen graciously thanked her Thai fans for their support and took the opportunity to praise Sophida "Ning" Kanchanarin for being a great host delegate.

"She's been so friendly to all of us girls," she said of Ning.
