Catriona Gray’s metro-wide homecoming parade kicks off

Catriona Gray on Thursday afternoon kicked off her metro-wide homecoming parade days after arriving in the Philippines.

The Miss Universe 2018 queen waved to her supporters atop her Mayon and Mikimoto crown-inspired float.

Cat was clad in her Sampaguita-inspired modern terno designed by Mak Tumang, the same creative genius behind Catriona’s now-iconic Mayon gown.

Despite the hot and humid weather, fans ran and chased after Cat’s float just to get a glimpse of the Miss Universe queen.

The parade started at the Sofitel Grounds, to pass by Vicente Sotto Street, Roxas Boulevard, Kalaw, Taft, and Buendia Avenues before ending on Ayala Avenue in Makati.

The Filipina beauty queen will have another parade on February 23 around Araneta Center. — LA, GMA News
