Bb. Pilipinas 2019 official candidates announced, early favorites emerge


Binibining Pilipinas Charities, Incorporated (BPCI) on March 19, Tuesday, released the official list of the candidates for the 56th edition of the pageant.

Nearly a hundred aspiring queens underwent the rigorous screening process, but only 40 made the cut. The road to the crown starts now for these women.

There are six crowns up for the taking: Globe, Supranational, Intercontinental, Grand International, International, and Universe.

The coronation night will be held on June 9 yet fans are already cheering online for their "future queen."

 

Filipino-Australian candidate Hannah Arnold is a clear favorite among pageant enthusiasts. Another name creating buzz is Patricia Magtanong, who recently graduated from the University of the Philippines College of Law.

 

Candidates who have previously competed, like Aya Abesamis, Vickie Rushton, and Samantha Bernardo, are also enjoying strong support from fans.

Two reigning queens, Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray and Miss Intercontinental 2018 Karen Gallman, will be crowning queens who have a chance at back-to-back win for the Philippines. — AT, GMA News
