Ice candy vendor from Isabela, graduates Cum Laude

A young man from Isabela attained his dream, finishing his studies, because of his perseverance and hardwork, according to a report on GMA News' Saksi.

Joel Quitariano, who driven by poverty had to live in an orphanage, sold ice candy everyday to finance his school needs.

Through his earnings, he was able to buy a refrigerator and was even able to adopt a child.

With his efforts he was able to complete a Public Administration degree as well as finish as one of the students at the top of his class. He graduated with honors, a Cum Laude.

"Hindi naman dapat ikahiya 'yung pagiging working student kasi basta't marangal 'yung ginagawa mo," Quitariano said. — BAP, GMA News
