Lawton Underpass now clean, well-lit after revamp efforts

The busy Lawton Underpass in Manila has had a glow up after being repainted.

In a Facebook post, Manila City Mayor Isko Moreno shared pictures of the revamped and clean underpass.

"Thank you Engr.. Andres and city engineering employees and to our City electrician Engr. Randy Sadac painting of LAWTON UNDERPASS by BOYSEN PAINT sa tapat ng Mehan Garden," Moreno said in his post.

Several netizens praised Moreno for the city's newly-painted underpass.

The underpass is regularly used by students of schools located within the Intramuros walls as well as employees of the nearby Manila City Hall.

One netizen by the name Eleanor Rayala-Montaniel commented, "I have never seen it ever so clean and spacious pala ang Lawton underpass. Punong-puno noon ng mga nagtitinda at mga beggars na you think you are always watched and you are being targeted by hold-up gang....Cheers Manila City employees and Mayor Isko!"
