Gazini Ganados turns 24: 'I was blessed with so many opportunities this year'
Gazini Ganados may have failed to win a back-to-back Miss Universe crown for the Philippines, but she still has a lot to be thankful for this year.
The Cebuana beauty queen, who turned 24 on Thursday, penned a heartwarming message for her kababayans in an Instagram post.
Gazini said she remains thankful for all the opportunities she was blessed with this year, as well as for all the amazing people she met along the way.
"Merry Christmas Philippines! Hope you all had a good one and spent quality time with your families, friends and loved-ones as we reflect on the ultimate reason for this season," Gazini wrote.
"As I turn 24 today, I am so thankful and looking forward to another year! I was blessed with so many opportunities this year. My dreams have come to fruition and I have met new and amazing people along the way," she added.
"If there is one thing I learned, it is to always celebrate your personal victories because no one else understands what it took to accomplish them. Can’t wait to be back home soon to continue my job and fulfill my missions."
Gazini was crowned Miss Universe Philippines 2019 in June.
The tall, bronze-skinned beauty from Talisay, Cebu represented the country in the global Miss Universe competition in December with the hope of a back-to-back win for the Philippines after Catriona Gray won Miss Universe 2018.
Gazini made the Top 20 but failed to move on to the next round.
She did, however, make the Philippines proud by winning the Miss Universe National Costume competition. —Margaret Claire Layug/KBK, GMA News
