Vicky Morales on keeping composure in Ilaban Natin 'Yan: 'It's part of my training'

Vicky Morales will be taking up new role in GMA News and Public Affairs' upcoming reality-drama program "Ilaban Natin 'Yan!"

In the new series, the veteran journalist will try to resolve issues between two conflicting parties from different barangays.

Vicky admits the new role is challenging because it is a new persona compared to her previous roles in "Wish Ko Lang" and "Good News."

Asked how will she be able to keep her composure in the new program, Morales said it has long been part of her training as a journalist.

She added the challenge for her this time is to encourage the parties to make positive changes in their lives.

"'Yung challenge talaga is 'yung mapagbati 'yung dalawang camps, alam ko namang bihira 'yun mangyari but if it does, I would really welcome that," she said during a pocket interview with reporters on Thursday.

"If it doesn't happen, at the very least gusto kong mangyari is for them to talk to each other respectfully," she added.

For Morales, her new role is a different kind of public service.

She said she really has to remain calm because she will be the mediator between the two parties.

"Ang role ko talagang maging kalmado lang and hindi naman problema sa akin 'yon kasi second nature ko na 'yun," she jested.
