Google, on Earth Day, pays tribute to the tiny hardworking 'bee'
On the celebration of the 50th Earth day, the Google Doodle is paying tribute to the littlest but extremely significant contributor to environmental conservation, the bee.
In a video, the bee is called one of Earth's "smallest, most critical organisms."
"Did you know that, the pollination of bees makes two-thirds of the world's crops possible as well as 85% of the world's flowering plants."

A game is also embedded that contains more information about the contribution of the little bee to the environment.
Based on the Earth Day Network website, Earth Day celebration was established on April 22, 1970 as an answer to the "emerging public consciousness about the state of our planet."
"In the decades leading up to the first Earth Day, Americans were consuming vast amounts of leaded gas through massive and inefficient automobiles. Industry belched out smoke and sludge with little fear of the consequences from either the law or bad press. Air pollution was commonly accepted as the smell of prosperity. Until this point, mainstream America remained largely oblivious to environmental concerns and how a polluted environment threatens human health."
This year, amid the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, the celebration will be digital. -- BAP, GMA News
