WHO shares alternatives to handshakes, hugs, and high-fives for the new normal

Handshakes, hugs, and high-fives are temporarily cancelled as the world continues to battle the coronavirus pandemic.

Recognizing this, the World Health Organization (WHO) shared an amusing set of greeting ideas as an alternative.

To avoid contact with other people, you could simply wave or nod. Or why not throw up a peace sign?

WHO even included a funny shrug meant to convey, "What a year, huh?"

The post won over netizens and it garnered over 400,000 reactions on Facebook and 60,000 shares as of posting.

Last week, global coronavirus cases exceeded 13.6 million.

The Philippines on Tuesday reported 70,764 cases, 1,837 deaths, and 23,281 recoveries.
