Michele Gumabao helps serve meals to displaced ‘Ulysses’ victims

Michele Gumabao was spotted serving free meals to Marikina City residents who were displaced during the onslaught of Typhoon “Ulysses.”

The beauty queen posted photos from the relief effort on Thursday, saying it was part of a bayanihan program with the Philippine National Police.

Michele said they were able to provide meals for more than 5,000 typhoon victims and frontliners who braved the floods to rescue stranded residents.

“I salute our PNP, Army, Navy, Coastguard and all other gov and NGO who are at the front lines of service!” she wrote on her caption.

“More than doing their jobs, they are also risking their lives and their health,” she added.

Typhoon Ulysses hit Luzon with strong winds and heavy rainfall that triggered devastating floods and massive power interruptions.

The flood-prone city of Marikina was among the hardest-hit areas in Metro Manila.

Michele’s fundraising drive “Your 200 Pesos” is now accepting donations for victims of Typhoon Ulysses.
