Meet Peppa, the aspin Heart Evangelista rescued and fostered
An adorable aspin named Peppa has found a new home after months of being in the care of none other than Heart Evangelista.
According to her Instagram story on Wednesday, the Kapuso actress, fashion icon and animal-lover visited a pound in Sorsogon a few months ago and was saddened to see so many unwanted dogs.
"I heard what happens in the pound. Unfortunately, no matter how sad this is, it's something that I guess we cannot change unless people really understand how to take care of their dogs so the pound doesn't get crowded," she said in a video.
Heart said she took in seven stray dogs that day, and later rescued three more.
One of those dogs was Peppa, who Heart personally clothed and took care of with some help from the Paws and Claws veterinary clinic.
"Despite everything she’s been through, she is the sweetest, calmest dog I've ever met, and I'm actually starting to fall in love with her," Heart said.
After months of being Peppa's foster mom, Heart said the dog is finally going to meet her new family.
"Today, Peppa is ready to be adopted," she said.
"She's going to a new home. I'm actually going to foster her for a few more days, and she’s ready for a new life," she added.
Heart ended her story with a cute shot of a happy and well-groomed Peppa, reminding her followers to "Adopt, don't shop." —Margaret Claire Layug/JCB, GMA News
