It has been a year since Gazini Ganados represented the Philippines in the Miss Universe stage.

On Instagram, the Cebuana beauty queen posted a photo to mark the occasion.

"Happy Universary! Time flies so fast! Forever grateful for the amazing experience and the doors that lead to new opportunities. Thank you, Universe!" she wrote.

"Also, missing my Miss Universe sisters! See you when all of this is over!" she added.

Gazini bowed out early in the 68th Miss Universe competition in Atlanta last year, after failing to make it to the Top 10.

However, she won the Miss Universe National Costume competition with her Philippine eagle-inspired costume designed by Cary Santiago.

South African beauty queen Zozini Tunzi eventually won the pageant , bringing home the crown to South Africa for a third time. —JCB, GMA News
