Tristan from Milo & Friends recovering from heart surgery due to aneurysm

Tristan Huertas, the viral vlogger and dog trainer behind the Facebook page Milo & Friends, is currently recovering from a heart bypass operation after suffering from an aneurysm.

In a Facebook post last February 17, Tristan announced he was first hospitalized due to an acid reflux attack.

However, it was revealed a few days later that he had actually suffered an aortic aneurysm and needed to undergo a heart bypass operation.

Tristan got emotional as he talked about what happened to him during an Facebook Live on February 28.

“Noong una talaga akong tinakbo sa ospital, akala namin acid reflux lang. Maraming may sakit sa'tin na acid reflux. So 'yun, nadala ako sa ospital, diyan sa may Antipolo,” Tristan said.

“Nakalabas na ako tapos okay na ulit ako. Tapos nagtataka ko laging sumasakit pa rin 'yung dibdib ko,” he added.

Tristan said he was brought to the hospital after his companions couldn’t wake him.

“Tapos kahapon ginigising ako, hindi ako magising. Putlang-putla raw ako. Akala nila mamamatay na’ko,” he said.

“Kinagat pa nga 'yung daliri ko. Ayan oh, may sugat. Hindi raw ako magising-gising,” he added.

After running some tests, the hospital informed Tristan about his serious medical condition.

“Pina-test na meron palang bara 'yung ugat ko. Meron daw akong aneurysm. So, kailangan operahan ako, guys,” he said.

“Anyway, kayang-kaya ko naman. Kayang-kaya ko naman. Sa tingin ko makaka-survive tayo rito,” he added.

Towards the end of his livestream, Tristan thanked fans for their support and vowed he would try to recover quickly from his surgery.

“Hayaan niyo, kakayanin ko yung operasyon ko, guys. ‘Pag naoperahan na ako, tuloy-tuloy na ‘yun. Magiging malakas na ulit ako. Gagalingan ko ulit, promise. Madami pa tayong ilalabas na video,” he said.

In another Facebook Live on March 5, Tristan informed his fans that he was already recovering from the operation and was expected to leave the ICU soon.

On March 10, Tristan again thanked Milo & Friends fans and supporters for their prayers.

He also thanked a few celebrities who extended some assistance for his surgery, including John Arcilla, Sarah Geronimo, Matteo Giudicelli, and Kim Molina.
